Merry Christmas, everyone! 2018 has been an amazing year filled with weddings full of love and joy and 2019 promises to be just as amazing as we’re working on new and exciting things here at RPM!
Our last wedding of 2018 was Mel and Travis’s Christmas-time wedding an while it wasn’t specifically “Christmas themed” touches of the season could be seen throughout. This was the first wedding we worked with Lindsay from Veil Events and what an amazing job she did! This wedding was HUGE with 400 guests and 4 ballrooms so she had her work cut out for her. Twice on Sunday kept the guests on their feet as usual.
Mel and Travis, thank you for asking us to be a part of your amazing day, I hope you have an amazing first Christmas together and I hope all of our readers enjoy the holidays with those they love!
It’s hard to believe the fall is already behind us and we’re about to celebrate Christmas! These cold, gray days have me missing the beautiful fall days here in Kansas City and Carley and Dave’s Timber Barn wedding took place on one of the most beautiful fall weekends we had!
It’s always a pleasure to work with Kindra at Simple Elegance. Every event she works on are gorgeous but more importantly they run without a hitch! With the help of Final Touch Studios, the barn was decked out in soft pinks and whites with rustic touches of green and exposed wood. Instead of cake, Betty Rae’s Ice Cream sent their truck much to all of the guests delight!
Fall is the time of year in KC when everyone wants to have their wedding. The weather is lovely, the light is gorgeous and regardless of if the leaves have changed yet, foliage is amazing!
Angie and Scott’s fall wedding was perfectly accented by the deep greens of early fall and the bridesmaids mismatched grey gowns popped. After a classic wedding ceremony at Christ Community Church in Brookside we stopped at the Loose Park Rose Garden for photos and then on to the party at Grand Street Cafe.
Angie and Scott were such a kind, loving couple to work with and their families were so open and welcoming. It’s been a pleasure getting to know them this year, starting with their engagement session and then on to their wedding. I loved spending this amazing day with them and love even more that they recently purchased a home near us, so hopefully we’ll be running into one another a lot in the coming years!
There is no greater honor than when a family asks me to photograph both of their daughter’s weddings. I get that honor twice this year but the first was with Haley and Sarina’s wedding. I photographed Sarina’s sister’s wedding early this past spring (Maddi and Danny) and got to know this wonderful family that day so working again with them this fall was a joy.
Haley and Sarina are an amazing couple with a such a wonderful sense of humor. I had done their engagement photos just days after Maddi and Danny’s wedding. It was a wonderful way to learn about them as a couple and to see how we would all work together. Having that experience with them, getting to know them and what they’re like in front of the camera made their wedding day a breeze!
It was an honor to capture this amazing day and to be invited back by their family twice this year. They are just the type of families and couples I love to work with and my day was filled with joy, hope and love by being in their presence.
It’s that time of year again. The air is crisp, the light is amazing and the leaves are changing all around us. It’s the perfect time for yearly family photos.
I’ve known this gorgeous family since the early days when Megan and Josh were engaged and hired us for their wedding. Then when little people started coming along, I’ve had the privilege of capturing their family as it grows.
It’s officially fall which means my days are full of shooting and editing, TONS of shooting and editing and because it’s so crazy busy, it’s difficult to keep up with full blog posts. I do want my late summer/ fall weddings to get a peek at their photos though, so I’m doing sneak peeks to get those couples excited about their pics!
How lucky were we here in Kansas City that we had a relatively mild August so everything was still beautiful and lush and green!
I met Sanam and Eric at her sister’s wedding back in March (Setareh and Michael) and it’s time to start all of the wedding celebrations for these two – starting with engagement photos!
I got to work with my buddy Kim this weekend!
I can’t think of a more fun job than photographing weddings but what makes it even more fun is when you get to work with fellow vendors that you’ve come to know and grow friendships with over the years. I met Kim Ho from You’re Invited years and years ago and whenever I get the chance to work with her, my day is 10x better!
Aly and Chase got married this past weekend at one of our very favorite event venues, Brass On Baltimore. I think my favorite moments of the day were 1. when we were just about to do the 1st look and Aly kept saying “just get me to Chase!” and 2. when Chase saw Aly walk down the aisle. Even though they’d already seen each other earlier in the day, you could just see the excitement on his face because he knew that in just a few minuets, she was going to be his wife!
The design and planning were done by You’re Invited, Florals: Botanica Floral Design, Stationary: Nellie Sparkman, Cake: Hyvee, Caterer: Brancatos, DJ: Jukeboxx Entertainment, Video: Rainy Day Productions.
I’ve known both of these little princesses since they were newborns and they really are some of my favorites! You may recognize them from lots of family photo samples on our website – they’re just too adorable to not share!
